Finals....Are........Over!!!!!

Finals are finally over.  So happy to go back to Detroit and enjoy winter break!  Fortunately, my break is about a month long so I have enough time to relax and chill before starting a new year.  I didn't do too much today - just went to Chipotle to get a burrito with chips.  I should be packing right now but I'm too busy surfing on the Internet (haha).  I know that I haven't been updating by blog too often - sorry about that.  I've been very busy lately, but I'm thinking about updating the music on this blog.  Well, I'll ttyl and I'm pretty sure that I will blog more often during the break.  Peace.

College Update: What's Up in the B?

Hello.  I know that I haven't updated my blog in a long time, but college so far has been quite an experience.  I have joined a dance crew called Dancers Anonymous, which do hip-hop dance as well as breakdancing and freestyle.  The crew meets every Friday from 6-8pm in preparation for performances around the Boston area.  So far, we have participated in "So You Think BU Can Dance" (this is a performance).  Although we didn't win, we had lots of fun preparing for it.  Classes are going well--I guess (lol).  And the partying has been awesome.  On Halloween weekend, I dressed up as a gypsy and attended various MIT frat parties.  I met tons of people who attend a variety of colleges, which include but are not limited to: Boston University, MIT, Wellesley College, Northeastern University, and Boston College.  Well anyway, I need to prepare for dance practice, and I got a lot of studying to do tonight (even though it is just Friday).  I'm excited that I have a couple more days until Thanksgiving Break; but, unfortunately, I know that I got a ton of work to catch up on.  Btw, I may go to an event that is giving away free Pakistani/Bangladeshi food :) Soo excited.  Peace
Haha.  Funny video of me and a couple of friends on Newbury Street in Boston.  This is an excellent place to shop, eat and just chill.  Fortunately, there was a fair going on yesterday, and we could see several cool cars and fashion ideas.
Wow. Boston, known for its reputation as an intellectual center, is an amazing city to learn and meet new people. I've met people from all over the world, made several friends, and experienced some of the nightlife in the Boston University area. My dorm, called Danielsen Hall, is about 1 mile away from the main campus. Although its location is pretty distant, it has its own perks. Danielsen Hall is located by several townhouses that line both sides of Beacon Street. College students from various universities live and study in these townhouses, which are conveniently located by shopping malls, restaurants, and a CVS Pharmacy(lol). Also, my dorm sits directly across from the MIT campus and sits next to several MIT frat houses, which is also pretty awesome. I would have to say that the most difficult thing to initially learn in Boston is how to cross the street. People drive recklessly and honk their horns incessantly; it is always good to be on the lookout while crossing streets and intersections in Boston. This semester, I am taking a total of four classes, which totals to 16 credits (this is kinda a lot for a freshman). Chemistry 101 seems like it will be the most difficult because it requires lab, pre-lab, discussion and lecture. My other classes include: Humanities, English Composition, and Social Sciences. So far, I really like my classes. This weekend, however, I have TONS of homework - TONS. Today, I plan to enjoy the nightlife of the city and relax after a long week of anxiety, stress and confusion. :)

An Eventful Summer

Well, summer for me has become increasingly exciting in some weird, unusual way. Lately, I've gone to a night club for the first time, went to orientation at Boston University, and attended more open houses. I've also been skateboarding, biking and running for exercise. I plan to finish preparing for my open house in August and begin reading "Infidel" by Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

Bored...Need School to Start

So, my life is pretty boring right now. I'm going to apply for a job at Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, The Detroit Shoppe or the Apple Store. But, fortunately, I was able to walk, rollerblade, skateboard, and bike-ride today. I also rode on my dad's scooter through downtown Ferndale. Actually, I'm kinda ready for school to start; I'm tired of doing absolutely nothing that is productive (except exercising). Oh well, I'll figure out a way to enjoy the month of July. Peace.
